Latest album from Swedish band Dynasty was released on April 16, 2016. It got great reviews everywhere for their style, charm and ”fuckload” of energy.
Had lot’s of fun taking these photos of them for the Titanic Mass album, tour and promo pics.
”Dynasty releases a monster and mind-blowing record that includes sharp and clean guitars, amazing performances by Nils Molin, well-written songs, a big and ‘fat’ sound and plenty of melodies. But, most of all, Dynazty is a band that is not afraid to experiment and enrich its sound and that’s a thing that reflects in “Titanic Mass”
This beautiful lady is an assignment that I had a short while ago. Make up is very “metal” and accentuated to make her wonderful blue eyes brighter and even more significant. Pictures from the session have been picked out by the band and sent to graphic designer Mattias Savage to get their final touch, so they will be ready shortly to show here.
Eva Myrdal plays the bas in a group called Metalnun. She has been playing the bass since she was 17 years old. Their repertoire is exclusively songs from the 70’s and 80’s. Bands like Whitesnake, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Dio etc. I hope to see them on stage soon.

This is another project I did some time ago. Elissa and Yani are a couple I did the make up on. They both wanted promo pictures for their music careers. But also some nice pictures of them together for private use.
Yani is a DJ and producer and ELODIE (Elissa Björk) is a singer / songwriter and producer that has done many collaborations with the artist John Dahlbäck in the genre of techno/house/electro. More about her here: http://www.myspace.com/elodiemusic

Undoubtably awesomely great show, this was! OPETH – easily one of the most respected and revered groups on the metal scene. One might say that I am biased here, as the guitarist, Fredrik Åkesson, is a very close friend of mine. But my reaction and admiration was wholehearted, and a sold out Cirkus Arena seemed to agree.

This was the first of six very exclusive shows across the globe. The band offered two sets. The first featuring their breakthrough epic album “Blackwater Park” in its entirety. No conversation or introduction between songs. Just the album straight through. Fans were lyrical and literally blown away by this. After a 10 minute break came the second set with mixed material from the band’s extensive catalogue. Opeth took the crowd on quite a journey with all their strong and dynamic songs in shift. Containing progressive influences and the finesse of folk, blues rock, jazz and acoustic instrumentation with a touch of Death Metal, that only Opeth can do. They set out in several different musical directions. Very impressive to find one self exited to see what’s in store in the next turn of a, not so unusual, ten minutes long song. Beautiful acoustic guitar interludes shifting to raw growling parts. Instrumentally top quality the whole way.
Visually a very beautiful show. I would’ve just been content by seeing the best logo in the world (their “O” logotype”) as a backdrop. But they had a beautiful movie running with different moods of nature, the ocean, trees, wind etc. This together with the awesome lightning was icing on the cake. Cred to who ever did the lightning.

Backstage after the show, it struck me that; The band members don’t seem to have big egos. Fame has not changed them or made them stuck up. Very down to earth and sometimes even a bit shy. Some of Michael’s remarks on stage. – “I am so nervous”, – “I hope it sounds Ok”? – “We are not very good looking dudes, still people come out to see us”. Like I said, very down to earth. Makes you love them even more : ) I left the arena with a smile on my face. A very fulfilling and satisfying evening and a special memory to store.
