Good evening everyone! Here I am doing some modeling with a very comfy latex outfit from Scullsmoke. Ideal on a rainy day ;) hi hi hi

Just got back from a wonderful Easter dinner at my sister Amanda and her husband Björn. I have eaten so much chocolates … num-num.
Tomorrow we will visit Maj-Britt and Stickan for the same procedure as every year :) …and some more chocolates :D
I leave you with a picture I took of my daughter traditionally dressed as a Påskkärring (Easter witch). In Sweden kids paint their faces, carry a broom and knock on neighbours doors for treats, like the american kids do for Halloween. After that they fly of with their broomsticks to dance with the devil at Blåkulla (the Brocken) according to the Folklore.
Hope you all have wonderful Easter Holiday!

SVANLUND DESIGN is Sweden’s most renowned brand in rock’n’roll fashion since 1996, and is owned by House of Svanlund AB.
With clients as Europe, Glenn Hughes, Billy Idol, Crucified Barbara, Metal Sanaz and more, Svanlund Design have established as a famous brand worldwide. Making impression on the Metal scene!
The company produces clothes in Faux Leather and regular leather. But since I’ve been a vegetarian for over 26 years and a member of the animal rights organization, I support the Faux leather of course. I wouldn’t like anybody sitting their butt on me if I became a couch ;) … Anyway the Faux Leather stuff looks amazing, surprisingly realistic and has a very nice feel to it. Much easier to clean than real leather. The material has improved amazingly in the last decades. It is soft, flexible, durable and breathable!
The models are Ian Haugland, more known as the drummer of EUROPE and the girl is his lovely daughter Linnéa Haugland.
Svanlund Design also proudly announces that they have been given the honor to participate as VIP treatment at SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL 5-8 JUNE 2013.
Svanlund Design are the first fashion designers who has been chosen for this trust and responsibility at Sweden Rock. There will be a 25 sq m exhibition tent with the best that they have to offer. You will have the opportunity to meet the designers and discuss true Rock’n’Roll fashion in VIP area backstage. There will also be a chance to order your special outfit, designed just for you!
Meet them at Sweden Rock Festival!

The new year has started well here in good ol’ Sweden. Well… I came down with a cold a few days ago, but that is nothing a “Little Savage” can’t handle. After a few days of Christmas relaxation I am back working again. My son Tim is back home after another year in Portugal, so my three little piglets are home with me again. Life feels good!
About today’s photos: I had the styling in mind for a long time. A beautiful classy ball gown, dreamy long hair caressing the body, satin gloves and a garnet necklace suitable for a princess. Located in the mist of fantasy and darkness in an ancient castle, where else? With christmas around the corner, red seemed like the proper color for the
occasion. This is Ella – The Lady in Red!

I hope you all had an awesome Christmas with your family and all your loved ones!
We spent the day at my mother/father-in-laws, Maj-Britt and Stig, with fantastic food and christmas spirit. Maj-Britt reflected over the fact “who was to pass on the recipe of her magic meat balls to the next generation?” First thing that came to my mind was ” Not me”! I am a vegetarian and have been for a long time. But it made me think a little extra about the thought of passing on traditions from one generation to the next. How the fact that everyone participates and anticipates is actually quite “monumental” to me. Whether it is recipes, homilies or wisdom, is something I find to give comfort and security as life can be confusing as it is and traditions are a connection to family. Things that seem insignificant, may actually mean a lot for the next generation. Time will tell!
So Christmas came and the blaze of delight and unwrapped presents is all of a sudden over. Disappointed? No not really … you see, being a Chile-bean and a Yankee means that my other half of the family celebrates on the 25:th. So christmas continues for 17 family members in our house. Same procedure as every year! This year my dad outdid himself with the exquisite “chilean empanadas de queso” and his vegetarian pastel de choclo. My mother’s vegetarian pie was also out of this world. Goodie-goodie! I over ate, yes yes. Is it possible not to over-eat over the holidays?
A change of tradition this year was to only give the children presents and skip the adults. Very boring …. I will vote to on “presents for all” next year ;) … Even though we all know that the best gifts in life will never be found under a Christmas tree, those gifts are friends, family, children. All the ones you love <3
Christmas also means a lot of extra work for us. Customers understandably wants their photos ready before christmas. Which means I have lots of nice photos to show. The reconstruction of my new bathroom / make up-room is coming along fine as well as my new web-page. I will soon show them to you as well :)
Here are two christmas pictures of beautiful Ella. You will be seeing more work from us in january.

I started to write about Andreas Carlsson and just realized it was quite impossible due to his involvement in numerous projects. So I’m only scratching the surface by writing that he is a successful swedish composer and songwriter working with the elite of rock and pop. He has written music for Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Paul Stanley, Scorpions and Europe. Adding on other accomplishments such as Katy Perry, Celine Dion and Britney Spears. Also honored with Grammy nominations and awards for #1 hits and best songs written etc.
Latest news about Andreas is that he is collaborating with the american record label Verve/ UNIVERSAL MUSIC as their new A&R. Responsible for talent scouting and overseeing the artistic development of recording and songwriters. That includes authorizing and negotiating record contracts. Sounds like a really fun and great job to me.
In Sweden the last episode on the first season of X-Factor has just ended where Andreas has brought light to the winner Awa Santesson-Say. The 15-year-old has an incredible voice and all the charisma and quality it takes to be a star. We will undoubtedly hear more from her. Congratulations!
What else’s up with Andreas? Well… He is opening up a new school in Sweden 2013 – Academy of Music and Business, AMB. Initially an independent secondary school focusing on music and entrepreneurial training. I will write more about that soon.

For my swedish followers. Here is an interesting entry on his blog :)
And finally here are some photos from our first session. Easy going black n’ white portraits. Needless to say he is extremely photogenic and awesomely easy to work with.

This is a 1920’s inspired photo shoot with Angi, a model I’ve worked frequently with. It is a conscious version of a modernized variant of the contemporary fashion. I simply took what I had in my closet. I will show a more accurate 1920’s fashion shoot in february when my sister Amanda, who is a stylist, is back from her honeymoon from South Africa. We did a collaboration with the magazine “Min Boudoir”, were we dove down into four different decades, 1920’s, 1930’s, 1940’s and 1950’s. We talk about the fashion of make up, clothes and accessories. “Min Boudoir” is a Lifestyle magazine with focus on vintage, retro and burlesque. Out in shops in Sweden right now. www.minboudoir.se
Personally I always tend to look back to the 1920’s for inspiration. The decade is fascinating in so many ways. The liberation of the conventional morality that the flapper girls laid the groundwork for generations down the line. They undoubtedly made waves in society by challenging the morals and standards.
Fashion was rebellious and sinful. Loose fit and revealing outfits with a dropped down waist, accessorize with lace, beads and fringes to attract attention. And the make up …aaah the make up, definitely my favorite of all eras. The pale white girl with big round dreamy eyes and a bright dark red little mouth.
This is my interpretation of a 1920’s Hollywood star. I hope you enjoy it. I bought both dresses in Los Angeles. The long dress almost made the total weight for one suit case. Extremely heavy and well-made dress from BlackTie and the short dress is from Maxazria.

I was in a galactic mood and my styling will pretty much point towards that direction. Lucky me Angelica was also in an interstellar mood and happy to play along. She is a beautiful gothic alien ready to rule a planet far, far away.
Showing my session with Angi brings up some thoughts on the movie Prometheus (2012) that I saw a couple of weeks ago. Well, to say that my expectations on the movie were high would be an understatement. Ridley Scott, the director of Alien is back in the genre he definitely defined. I would by no means say it was a terrible movie, but it just did not do it for me … at all. It wasn’t the prequel I was hoping for. The feeling I got when I saw the first movie back in 1979, with Sigourney Weaver, never appeared. But then … barely fifteen minutes left of the movie, my yarn turned in to a jaw-dropping. Some of the best visual effects I ever seen. Ridley Scott is still the master of the craft of Aliens. I could watch the last bit of the movie over and over. Knock out effects!

More about the band & an album teaser:
Elizia ten years old (Nine at the time we took this photos) is back to school and ready to tackle new adventures and projects.
She loves being in front of the camera and is actually the only model who charges me for photographing her. Ten dollars for every photo session. Keeping meticulous notes and saving it in her piggy bank. Quite the business girl already :)
I made the purple dress sometime early 2000 for my older daughter Adina while I still had my “Little Savage Design” clothing company going.
The fairy tale portraits are taken in the “Savage Beauty Studios” in Stockholm, Sweden.
